For these, we bring the paint stripping to you. Our team works on site, carefully removing layers of old paint and varnish in place.
We protect the surrounding area, work room by room, and clean down thoroughly so you’re left with stripped, bare timber or ironwork ready to finish — and a tidy home. Yes — staircases are one of the most common on-site jobs. We strip strings, spindles, handrails and newel posts back to bare timber, ready to wax, stain or repaint.
Yes. Removable cast iron inserts can come to our workshop, but fixed fireplaces and surrounds are stripped on site.
It depends on the size of the job — a single fireplace might be a day, a full staircase longer. We'll give you a clear timescale with your quote.
