Yes — we strip Victorian, Edwardian, column and reclaimed cast iron radiators back to bare metal, ready to prime and refinish.
Yes — radiators need to be drained, disconnected and removed by a plumber or heating engineer before collection. We strip them once they're off the wall.
We recommend having reclaimed or newly stripped cast iron radiators pressure-tested by your heating engineer before they're reconnected, to check for leaks before refinishing.
Bare metal can surface-rust if left, so it should be primed reasonably soon after stripping. We dry it carefully and return it ready for priming.
Most radiators are collected and returned within a week or so, depending on the number and our workshop schedule.
